Communication Skills and attitudes
Refreshing and reviewing communication skills can dramatically enhance the quality of relationships, in both individual and group engagements. These skills, which become integrated as part of our attitude towards others, can effect a deeper understanding of others and a recognition of common ground. Common goals and shared values can serve in the creation and maintenance of cooperation, even amongst or between seemingly disparate parties. In both professional and personal arenas, well-developed communication skills may promote positive attitudes and creative problem solving.
Some of the skills to be addressed:
• Working with emotions
• Listening for common themes
• What we all want: self-esteem
• World-view: discovering and clarifying these perspectives
• "Carrot and Stick" strategies
Seminars for reviewing these skills are generally experiential, and build on practical life experience.
