Supervision
Supervision is an opportunity to reflect on one's professional work with another practitioner or group of practitioners. Within a supportive
context, such reflection can deepen our understanding of ourselves, of others, and of the relationships that serve as the matrix for all our
endeavours.
Supervision can be effective in a number of contexts: coaching, mediation, psychotherapy and counselling, and complementary medical and health
practices. Many of these activities already require this exercise to retain statutory or professionally recognised registration.
Supervision has proven to be a most useful process of review and learning, and is fundamental to ethical and responsible professional
conduct.
